The brief
Design a competition quadcopter for autonomous payload delivery. The structure needs to protect the avionics and release mechanism while leaving room for maintenance and iteration.
Structure first
The design uses a monocoque chassis in 7075 aluminum. Keeping the primary structure continuous creates a direct load path around the electronics and payload bay.
Access without a full teardown
Removable carbon-fiber panels close the chassis. They separate the protective structure from the access surfaces, so the internals can be reached without dismantling the airframe.
Integration
The fuselage packages the sensors and electronics inside the body. That makes the sensor field of view, component access, and available volume part of the same design problem.
